Cindy Blackstock qualified for the 2013 Ironman World Championship at Ironman Wisconsin in October 2012 by finishing third in her age group in a dramatic finish.  In November she was diagnosed with Stage II breast cancer.  After receiving that tumultuous news Cindy made three vows:  1- Survive this for herself and her family 2- Do everything she can to get the word out on the importance of early screening, and 3 – To make it to the starting line at Kona.

As a longtime age-grouper triathlete here in Minnesota, I’ve always loved the Lake Minnetonka Triathlon in June.  In the past several years, I did it as a relay with my Dad (Joe) on the bike and my boy Peter on the run.  In 2012, my Dad was 80 and Peter was 10, giving us the oldest and youngest competitors in the race.  Since there's almost nobody in the male-relay division, we've won twice....

Augusta 70.3: Finally, finally, finally…a race without drama for RBM. Throughout my first year of pro racing, race barriers became commonplace and each one challenged me to persevere either tactically, physically, mentally, or mechanically.  Small mistakes/mishaps were magnified and every pedal stroke counted as even long course placings can be decided by mere seconds. A two-time nominee for Most Improved, Sean has gone to the next level, earning his first TOY nomination. Clearly his state's premier multisports, Sean proved in 2013 that his talent places him in national-level company. Winner of three races--Paradise Olympic (ONT), Young Life Olympic and Superior Man Half-- and finishing 8th at the Best of the US Championship, Cooley was one of the most consistent performers in our region.
