Minnesota Multisport Awards - As with all the categories, it was extremely difficult to whittle the list of possible Junior of the Year candidates down to just four official nominees. Here they are, along with their 2012 highlights:

Minnesota Multisport Awards - It's official. The nominees for 2012 Female Triathlete of the Year are Claire Bootsma (2011 TOY), Ruth Brennan Morrey, Suzie Fox and Cathy Yndestad (TOY in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010). The athletes were selected based on their 2012 resumes, not their reputations. ...

Minnesota Multisport Awards - MTN congratulates former overweight guy, Marcus Stromberg, on his breakout season, one that earned him an official 2012 Triathlete of the Year nomination.
Marcus joins fellow nominees Dan Hedgecock (2011 TOY), Patrick Parish (2010 TOY), who placed 3rd (amateur) at the Toyota Cup Championship in Dallas last Sunday, and Matthew Payne (3 x TOY nominee)....

Minnesota Multisport Awards - Will there be any surprises when the nominees for Triathlete of the Year are announced on MTN on Tuesday? Sure, there are some slam dunk choices, perhaps five of the eight eventual nominees can be agreed upon by most.
In this post, we'll ignore most of the obvious stuff and discuss some names that have never been nominated for this award in the past; or have been, albeit several years ago.
One of the issues the selection committee faces this year is the fact that many of our state's top athletes have only raced 3-4 times this year. How are they to be ranked on Team Minnesota, if at all, and should...
