So much of the way we live our lives has shifted as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, including how we stay active. Every year Strava shares its “Year In Sport” report based on data from its users and, not surprisingly, the onset of the virus in March caused a massive shift in how participants across the world exercise. While the data usually showcases trends in both habits and the brands of products people are using to capture data, this year’s report—curated from 73 million total participants—focuses more on how activities shifted differently across the globe, as well as how routines (both in exercise mode and in time of day) transitioned through the new normal. Athletes of the Decade - Women Finalists...

ATHLETES OF THE DECADE - In 2010 the MMA Committee presented "Athlete of the Decade" awards to DAVID THOMPSON and CATHY YNDESTAD, who were perceived to be Minnesota's most successful multisport athletes during the period of 2001 to 2010. CY was a four-time Minnesota Triathlete of the Year, the 2009 US Athlete of the Year and had posted approximately 60 of the 75-80 wins she has amassed in her stellar career. Likewise, at least 60 of DKT's 109 career victories were recorded during the first decade of this millennium.

Here are the four women who are finalists for 2011-2020 AOD honors.

"Who Am I?"

I thought about just putting up a quote up with this pic but I was inspired my my friend Ginny Cataldi to use my own voice.
So here are my thoughts:
I’ve always thought that my mental toughness was a strength of mine. I still think, in many ways it is but in the week leading into my last race and in those miles of the marathon, I realized that there are parts of my mental game that need improvement.

I had anxiety and lost sleep over the pressure I put on myself to meet my goal. Then I stressed over stressing and losing sleep!

Despite my family, friends and coach Raymond Botelho talking me through this, I couldn’t shake it. Like my friend said, “Nobody cares!” He’s right! It’s just a race! ...

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — U.S. professional triathlete Matt Hanson (Storm Lake, Iowa) placed second Sunday, Dec. 6, at the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) 2020 Championship, held at the iconic Daytona International Speedway in Florida as part of CHALLENGEDAYTONA race weekend. The event drew more than 100 of the world’s best long- and short-course professional triathletes, all racing for a share of $1.15 million — the largest prize purse in triathlon history.

In addition to the PTO 2020 Championship, CHALLENGEDAYTONA featured various race distances and formats for age-group athletes, juniors and paratriathletes on Saturday and Sunday, as well as a Pro-Am Relay held Friday night under the lights at the NASCAR track....
